Measuring wrong is the most common reason an appliance goes back. If you are not sure, text us the dimensions of your space and we will check them against the unit before you commit.
Text us your measurementsDecide chest or upright first. A chest freezer holds more per dollar and keeps food frozen longer in an outage, but you dig for what is at the bottom; an upright is easier to organise and takes less floor space for the same footprint.
Check whether the unit is garage-ready before you put one in an unheated space. A freezer that is not rated for it can stop cycling when the surrounding air gets cold, which is exactly when you would not notice.
Measure the doorway and the turn, not just the wall it will sit against — a large chest freezer is wider than most interior doors expect, and the lid needs clearance to open fully once it is in place.
Tell us the brand, size or budget you're working with. We'll check the floor and let you know what's coming in.

Freezers want a dedicated grounded outlet and a few inches of air around the coils. Leave the unit upright for several hours after delivery before plugging it in.
Whichever matches how you shop. A chest freezer gives you more usable space per dollar and holds its temperature longer if the power goes out, but everything below the top layer has to be dug for. An upright is easier to organise and reach into and takes up less floor space for the same capacity, and it usually costs more per cubic foot.
Only if the unit is rated for it. A freezer that is not garage-rated can stop cycling when the surrounding air gets cold, which is exactly when you would not think to check it, and the food thaws quietly. Check the listing or ask us about the specific unit before buying one for an unheated garage, porch or shed.
Roughly 1.5 cubic feet per person is the usual starting point for a household freezer, then add for bulk buying, hunting or a garden. Measure the doorway and the turn as well as the wall it will stand against — a large chest freezer is wider than a lot of interior doors, and the lid needs room to open fully once it is in place.
Several hours if it travelled on its side or at an angle, so the compressor oil settles back where it belongs; if it stayed upright the whole way, an hour is plenty. Then give it a day to reach temperature before you load it, and leave a few inches of air around the coils wherever it ends up.
A scratch & dent appliance is a unit with cosmetic damage but no functional defect. The damage usually happens in shipping, in a warehouse, or on a showroom floor — a dented side panel, a scratched door, or scuffed trim. The appliance still works as designed. Because retailers cannot sell a marked unit at full price, it is sold at a discount.
1-year warranty options are available on qualifying appliances. Coverage is not automatic on every unit and terms vary by appliance, so ask about warranty options for the specific unit you are buying before you complete the purchase.
